Princess Eugenie wedding hair: How to recreate soft-waved chignon bun

Princess Eugenie married her long-term love Jack Brooksbank in a ceremony at St George’s Chapel this morning.

Hundreds of guests turned up from 9.30am to watch the royal and her love tie the knot with the Queen and Prince Philip in tow.

The bride wore a wedding dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos with a v-neck front and back.

Her hair was tousled into a soft-waved chignon bun that any bride can recreate from home.

Gorka Arraras, creative manager at Charles Worthington Salons, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the hairdo and to how achieve it at home.

He said: “I think Princess Eugenie’s wedding hair is contemporary and a bit on the safe side, but it really suits her.

“The soft updo compliments the style of the dress. Princess Eugenie often keeps her hair understated and classic, so it’s nice to see that she has chosen a look that she is comfortable with and that suits her personal style.

“The Royal Tiara definitely completes the look by adding a touch of drama and regal glamour. Her choice of emerald green accessories compliments her beautiful auburn hair colour.”

Step-by-steps to achieving Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding Hair

1. The hair is set either in rollers or tongued and then pinned to set the curls
2. The front is separated from the back
3. The back is backcombed on the crown area and pinned into the lower nape
4. The remaining curls are softly put up, creating a soft romantic and relaxed chignon
5. The Royal Tiara is placed on top of the parting of the hair
6. Lastly, with the front of the hair that has been curled, brush the hair softly and sweep the sides of the hair up adding that relaxed and effortless look
7. The overall look is very timeless, the classy hair up compliments her face shape and breaks the simplicity of the dress
