If you thought a battle-rap comedy-drama movie couldn’t be made, think again.

Produced by Eminem, Bodied is precisely that – the satirical story of a graduate student who becomes a winning battle-rapper.

But his success doesn’t come without a price.

The movie is coming to screens near you in just a few weeks – but not in the traditional way.

How do you stream Bodied on YouTube Premium?

Bodied will have a selected cinema run in America, in cities like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Austin.

Then the film will be streamed exclusively at YouTube Premium from November 28.

YouTube Premium is one of the newer players to enter the original content streaming game.

Signing up is easy, and the price-tag reasonable.

At £12 per month, YouTube Premium gives you access not only to their movies, like Bodied, but also their premium music service, and all their existing content without ads.

Though the fee is slightly more than Netflix, those die-hard YouTube fans may want to splurge for the subscription – especially if it’s the only way to see a movie.

Bodied isn’t the only piece of exciting content heading to YouTube Premium.

Jordan Peele’s Weird City, an upcoming fantasy-comedy series, will also arrive on YouTube Premium in 2019.

YouTube Premium is currently home to documentary movies about some of their biggest vloggers.

Breaking into the feature film world, however, is a different game.

With Bodied, the service is clearly hoping to improve its changes in winning at that game.

The satirical story currently holds a 90 percent fresh rating on reviews aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie is directed by Joseph Kahn, from a script he co-wrote with Alex Larsen.

Bodied stars Calum Worthy as Adam, the graduate student who takes on the world of battle-rap.

Other cast members include Jackie Long, Rory Uphold, Charlamagne Tha God, Debra Wilson, and Anthony Michael Hall.

Bodied is rated R, the equivalent of a 15 rating in the UK.

Bodied is out in select cinemas on November 2, 2018, and available on YouTube Premium on November 28, 2018.
