Avengers 4: Thanos new weapon revealed and replaces broken Gauntlet with INFINITY SWORD?

The latest leaked images very clearly shows a mighty and utterly terrifying new blade.

With even the Russo brothers confirming that the Infinity Gauntlet is bady damaged, his armies destroyed and no Black Order by his side, Thanos will be in dire need of a new weapon to face whatever the Avengers will throw against him.

Various fan sites have revealed the enormous and brutal blade.

Could this really be the Infinity Sword?

The Infinity Sword appears in the comics and the Superhero Squad Show animated series, set in the Earth 91119 dimension.

It was shattered in a fight between Doctor Doom and Iron Man before Doom reassembled it to fight Galactus. Silver Surfer then revealed it would only reach its full power when combined with all six Infinity Stones.

Well, guess who currently has all six stones and a brand new massive sword?

In the animated show the sword and gauntlet work together to create a weapon of unimaginable strength.

Unfortunately, using it turned the Silver Surfer crazy and he went over to the dark side before the sword was once again destroyed.

Fortunatley for the universe, and probably even Thanos, the new weapon does not resemble to traditional look of the Infinity Sword, which has a classic hilt and blade construction.

The slab of metal shown in the leaked image is larger than most men with a central grip and has deadly heavy blades like a cross between swords and meat cleavers at each end. The blades face in opposite directions allowing multi-direction attacks or some sort of terrifying whirling move.

The question still remains why Thanos would use any kind of traditional weapon.

In all his previous comic and big screen outings the Mad Titan has only ever used his own powerful fists, until he started to assemble the Infinity Stones.

Why and when will he use this mammoth metal blade?

Fans will have to wait until next year to find out, unless the first teaser trailer reveals all when it is released. Every sign points to November, so maybe fans will be in for some surprises in the next few weeks…
