Avengers 4 spoiler leaks as Michael Douglas confirms THIS theory about Infinity War sequel

It was strongly hinted that the Quantum Realm would feature in the film when the Ant-Man and the Wasp end credits scene showed Paul Rudd’s titular hero trapped in it.

But now Douglas has said that the element is in fact the “key” to Marvel storytelling going forward.

Speaking to On Air With Ryan Seacrest, he was asked whether Ant-Man and the Wasp is directly linked to Avengers 4.

“Right, right. That’s absolutely true,” he said.

“I mean, all of them – I mean, the Quantum Realm, that’s the key. That’s the key.

“The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.”

Now, how the plot will specifically play out remains to be seen, but theories have been coming thick and fast.

Infinity War ended with half of all the universe’s living things being turned to dust, after Thanos collected all six of the Infinity Stones and initiated the Snap.

Many of the dead Marvel heroes are expected to return in some capacity – with Spider-Man (Tom Holland) even filming his own new solo adventure Spider-Man: Far From Home.

But one person who won’t be back is Quicksilver, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The character was introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron but didn’t survive until the end credits; however theories had wondered if he would be back.

But asked about it by Metro, Taylor-Johnson said simply: “It’s not a conversation right now.”

Reshoots for Avengers 4 have recently wrapped in Atlanta, USA; where Mark Ruffalo revealed that the film’s ending was still being decided.

Speaking on The Marvelists podcast last month, he said: “We don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing reshoots.

“We’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.

“I don’t even know that [the Russos] really know exactly. Some of it is happening while we’re there.”

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019 in the UK.
