The Big Lebowski 20th anniversary REUNION photo: Jeff Bridges and cast are back together

Twenty years ago The Coen Brothers film that went on to become a cult classic was released.

Not only a movie fan favourite, The Big Lebowski also spawned a religion and philosophy based on Bridges’ character The Dude aka Jeffrey Lebowski.

Aptly called Dudeism there are allegedly 450,000 Dudeist priests around the world.

And now the three main cast members have taken part in a 20th anniversary reunion photo.

Posting on his Twitter feed, Bridges was joined in a restaurant by Walter star Goodman and Donny actor Buscemi.

Meanwhile, the man on the far right is NBC’s Harry Smith, who interviewed the three for The Big Lebowski’s 20th anniversary.

Bridges wrote: “Missing some of our cast here, but it was a blast getting back together with John and Steve for the 20th Anniversary of #TheBigLebowski.”

Those missing include David Huddleston, who played The Big Lebowski, Philip Seymour Hoffman, was portray Brandt and Jon Polito who played Da Fino. Sadly the two actors have since died within the last four years.

Fans have long hoped for a sequel to The Big Lebowski, but The Coen Brothers are adamant it won’t happen.

Back in 2013, they said: “I don’t think it’s going to happen. I just don’t like sequels.

“John Turturro, who wants it, talks to us incessantly about doing a sequel about his character Jesus.

“He even has the story worked out, which he’s pitched to us a few times, but I can’t really remember it? No, I don’t see it in our future.”

Nevertheless, Turturro is currently working on his own spin-off, Going Places, which focuses on his character Jesus Quintana.

Meanwhile, The Coen Brothers return next month with their first Netflix Original film.

Their new movie is a six-part Western anthology film.

The Ballard of Buster Scruggs will be released in select cinemas and on Netflix on November 16.
