Creed is the eighth in a long line of movies about Rocky Balboa, the boxing champion.

The first movie premiered in 1976 to critical acclaim.

Since then, the sequels have been hit and miss (pardon the pun).

That is, until 2015, when Creed gave the franchise a new lease on life.

When is Creed II out in cinemas?

Creed II is out in the UK on November 30, 2018.

However, fans in the USA will be able to see the Creed sequel a week earlier.

Creed II is out in American cinemas on November 21, 2018.

The countries to get the Creed sequel last are Argentina, Brazil, Germany, and Italy on January 24, 2019.

What is the plot of Creed II?

The official plot synopsis reads: “Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed.

“Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life.

“Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring.

“Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what is worth fighting for, and discover that nothing is more important than family.”

Who stars in the Creed II cast?

Reprising the role of Adonis Creed is Michael B Jordan.

Sylvester Stallone also takes up the role of Rocky once again.

Tessa Thompson reprises the role of Bianca Porter, a singer and Adonis’ girlfriend and now the mother of his child.

Dolph Lundgren returns to the franchise as the villainous Ivan Drago, Russia’s former prize champion boxer, who had, years earlier killed Apollo Creed (Adonis’ father) but was later defeated by Rocky.

Florian Munteanu plays Viktor Drago, Drago’s son who is also a boxer, and Adonis’ new rival.

Andre Ward plays Danny “Stuntman” Wheeler, a light heavyweight boxer.

Wood Harris plays Tony “Little Duke” Evers, one of Wheeler’s assistant trainers and a father-figure for Apollo, he later became one of Rocky’s trainers after Apollo’s death.

Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne Creed: Apollo’s widow and Adonis’ stepmother, who takes in Adonis as a child following the death of Adonis’ biological mother.

Brigitte Nielsen plays Ludmila Drago, Ivan’s wife and Viktor’s mother.

Milo Ventimiglia returns to the franchise from his appearance in 2006’s well-received Rocky Balboa as Robert Balboa, Jr, Rocky’s son who moved to Vancouver in the period between Rocky Balboa and Creed.

Other cast members include Russell Hornsby as Buddy Marcelle, and Jacob “Stitch” Duran, Roy Jones Jr, Michael Buffer, Evander Holyfield, and Sugar Ray Leonard all playing themselves.
