Queen Letizia tenderly embraces her daughter Princess Leonor as she gives her first speech

Queen Letizia of Spain proudly gave her daughter a tender kiss on the cheek when she delivered her first speech on Wednesday.

Princess Leonor, who is heir to the Spanish throne, gave the historic royal speech on the special occasion of her 13th birthday.

Standing next to her father, King Felipe VI, the young royal did her parents proud with her confident performance.

Wearing a beautiful blue knee-length dress the Princess of Asturias looked as stylish as her mother, the Queen of Spain.

The mother-of-two was pictured cupping her daughter’s face in her hands and whispering in her ear in touching scenes following the speech.

The Spanish royal family posed for pictures outside the venue in Madrid on the momentous day.

Queen Letizia, 46, wore a fitted grey suit jacket with a matching belt that cinched her waist in. A coordinating knee-length pleated skirt with blue flowers completed her outfit.

The Stylish Queen wore simple make-up and her hair down like her beautiful daughters – Leonor and Sofia, 11.

Her youngest daughter jazzed up her taupe coloured dress with a bold red cape and red ribbon in her hair.
