Meghan Markle shows off growing bump in £8745 outfit for Royal Variety Performance
Meghan Markle, 37, joined Prince Harry, 34, in London for the annual Royal Variety Performance.
The pregnant royal flattered her growing baby bump, due in April 2018, with a floor length top and skirt combination.
The £895 black top designed by Safiyaa featured halter neck straps which showed off her toned arms and a black and white floral sparkly bodice
She nipped in the top with a black band, which revealed her royal bump.
The top featured an asymmetric hem which cut across her midriff above the skirt. Meghan appeared to have added straps to the top which is usually strapless.
She added a simple stretchy black skirt, also Safiyaa, costing £850, to flatter the look and her classic black stiletto pumps.
London-based designer Safiyaa was founded by Daniela Karnuts in 2011, and was named after her daughter.
Added to the look was a black and gold clutch bag. She showed off her décolletage by pulling her hair into a messy updo with her £7,000 Birks Snowstorm diamond earrings and minimalist make up.
Hosted at London’s Dominion Theatre every year, the Royal Variety Performance has been a favourite of the Royals since it’s first episode in 1960. The Queen last attended in 2012.
It has since hosted a number of comedians and performances.often starting with the entrance of the Royals followed by the national anthem, God Save the Queen.
The performance is held to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity.
Tonight, it will feature Take That, Clean Bandit, George Ezra and the cast of both Hamilton and the Tina Turner Musical.
Comedian Greg Davis will be hosting tonight’s show, which will be aired later this year in December.
Meghan stepped out earlier this week ahead of the event at the annual Royal Foundation dinner with Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
She chose a strapless Roland Mouret Aldrich dress during the private dinner, which had a v-shaped neckline.
The dress was designed into a full-length gown, compared to a knee-length version, with puckered stripped bodice work and a floral netted skirt.
Meghan added her Birks Snowstorm earrings to this look also.
The royal is known to be a fan of Roland Mouret, having worn the designer the day before her wedding in a smart blue number.
She opted for a similar grey number during her first day in Ireland with Prince Harry during a state visit.
