Avengers Infinity War on NETFLIX this Christmas: Plus A4 trailer and title update

It is the biggest film of 2018 and will undoubtedly remian so, with no major Marvel or Star Wars releases this Christmas. Instead, Infinity War will sew up the seasonal small screen with an unexpected appearance on Netflix. As well as dominating the Xmas market, this will almost certainly be the last huge Disney release to be shared on the digital platform. The House of Mouse is poised to launch its own service next year and will no longer be sharing its smash hits elsewhere. 

The Netflix sci fi and supernatural Twitter page NX posted a cheeky announcement.

A short clip of Thanos arriving was accompanied by the tagline: “Oh, snap. Avengers: Infinity War is coming to Netflix on December 25.”

Yes, we all see what they did there, making Thanos sound all sassy as they referenced the not so cute moment he wiped out half of all life across the entire universe.

Is the date the same for US and UK audiences?

Express Online contacted a Netflix representative and we were told this date only applies to the US.

There are no confirmed UK release dates for Avengers Infinity War on Netflix in the UK.

As for the long-awaited trailer and title release dates, they will be with us in the next two weeks without any shred of a doubt.

This is because a brand new comic book limited series will be released on December 5, which also means the teaser must come before that but after Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

The Avengers 4 Prelude comic can not possibly be released without a title revelation for the actual movie it is based on.

Furthermore, the trailer won’t be release over Halloween, because there is too much else going on in the US. This is even more true for the four-day retail frenzy from Black Friday to Cyber Monday.

Every sign now points to the first Avengers 4 trailer and title being released on Wednesday, November 28.
