Ralph Breaks the Internet box office: How much money has Ralph Breaks the Internet made?
Ralph Breaks the Internet follows the same two characters: Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz as they journey to the internet in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game ‘Sugar Rush.’ They have to leave Litwak’s arcade and into the World Wide Web where they meet the citizens of the internet – the netizens – to help navigate their way, including an entrepreneur names Yesss, who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site BuzzzTube.
How much money has Ralph Breaks the Internet made?
As Ralph Breaks the Internet has just been released in the cinemas, the earnings it has made at the box office will be hard to judge at this stage.
The 2012 film Wreck-It Ralph grossed $471 million worldwide at the box office and made 10 percent of this – $49 percent – in its opening weekend.
This made it the largest opening for a Walt Disney Animation Studios film at the time.
It was the 14th-highest grossing film of 2012 and the fourth highest grossing 2012 animated film.
Outside of North America, the largest opening was recorded in the UK, Ireland and Malta where it made $7.15 million.
What was Wreck-It Ralph about?
The first film focuses on Ralph (voiced by John C.Reilly) an arcade game villain who rebels against his bad-guy role and dreams of becoming a hero.
Ralph is tired of losing to his good guy opponent Fix-It Felix and he decides to take matters into his own hands when he is not invited to the thirtieth anniversary of the game.
The title character decides to win a medal to become a hero and he goes to the game Hero’s Duty but while on his quest, Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade.
His quest brings him to meet young glitch Vanellope von Schweetz from a candy coated cart racing games who makes off with the medal he has won.
But the pair decide to work together and build their own racing car.
Who’s in the cast?
John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman return as Ralph and Vannellope.
Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch who played Fix-it Felix Jr and Jane Lynch who plays Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun.
Alan Tudyk who starred as the villain King Candy/Turbo in the first film, returns in the sequel in a different role, this time as the Internet search engine, KnowsMore.
Gal Gadot voices the character of Slaughter Race character Shank and Bill Hader and James Corden are also set to voice roles.
And Frozen’s Anna and Elsa voiced by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel will return before their own sequel.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is released in the US on November 23 and on November 30 in the UK.
