Princess Mary of Denmark dances in Nairobi before donning traditional dress – in pictures
Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary made a two-day trip to Kenya this week to visit a number of organisations that work to improve the rights of girls and women.
Her Royal Highness visited the Northern part of Kenya to launch the “Deliver for Good” campaign which aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
During her visit to Nairobi, the Princess was pictured dancing with the Danish Minister for Development Ulla Toernaes, who accompanied the royal on her trip, and local women.
The 46-year-old princess wore a classic white shirt and khaki maxi skirt for her short royal tour.
She added a tan belt and long pendant necklace to her laid-back royal look.
Princess Mary, who is married to Prince Frederik, 50, heir apparent to the throne of Denmark, added a pair of dark sunglasses to her ensemble to protect her eyes from the African sun.
She later swapped her heels for a pair trainers before visiting the Kibera slum.
On the first day of her tour, Her Royal Highness arrived at Kalama Airstrip in a collarless blue shirt and cropped khaki trousers.
Sweeping her hair into a casual up do, the beautiful royal was seen taking pictures with a Nikon camera before meeting prominent members from the local society in Kalama, Kenya.
The mother-of-four then donned traditional dress to visit the Kalama Community Wildlife Conservancy.
