Avengers 4 prelude comic FIRST LOOK inside before Avengers 4 trailer lands

The first issue of the Avengers 4 prelude comic is released tomorrow. An advert for the issue was subtly featured at the back of the first Captain Marvel prelude comic, but without the film’s title. Now the first images from the opening pages have been shared on Twitter, and as expected it’s a comic book recreation of Avengers Infinity War. One page shows Thanos taking on the Hulk aboard the Asgardian ship while using the Power Stone.

This seems a little odd though since screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have previously said that Thanos was actually stronger than the Hulk.

McFeely told Collider: “I may be speaking out of turn, but I think Thanos could kick the Hulk’s ass without the (Power Stone).”

Meanwhile, the previous page reproduces the scene with Thanos holding Thor’s head and torturing him with the Power Stone, hoping he’ll reveal the location of the Space Stone.

Nevertheless, Loki steps up, before revealing they have a Hulk.

While the third page shows Thanos with the Space Stone before Loki tries to kill him.

Fans may be disappointed the prelude isn’t actually set between Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4, but it’s understandable that the studio wants to avoid spoilers.

Similarly, the Avengers Infinity War prelude comic reproduced how the Infinity Stones were introduced into the franchise in previous movies.

However, this was done through a new scene with Doctor Strange and Wong, so there’s still hope of a similar new scene.

A couple of weeks ago the covers of the three comics and their synopses were unveiled.

Fans will notice each cover, which doesn’t feature Avengers 4’s real title yet, has a still from Avengers Infinity War.

The first is from right at the beginning of the movie when Thanos obtained the Space Stone.

While the second shows him using the Power Stone on Titan to bring down pieces of a moon.

Lastly, there’s a shot of him facing off against Tony Stark, just before Doctor Strange traded Iron Man’s life for the Time Stone.

The first Avengers 4 prelude comic is released on December 5, the second on January 9 and the third on February 20.
