Avengers 4 trailer 'will NOT release Wednesday' due to George HW Bush funeral – so when?

The teaser for the Marvel ensemble blockbuster has been rumoured for release on multiple different occasions over the last few weeks, but tomorrow – Wednesday – more than anything else seemed to be locked-in. And when the Captain Marvel trailer arrived late on Monday, per similar whispers, fans were all set to get their first look at A4 midweek. However, it seems it has now been pushed back.

This appears to be because of George HW Bush’s funeral taking place.

Indeed, one possibility had seemed to be that Avengers 4 would take a high-profile slot on Good Morning America; but that show will likely now be dominated by coverage of the former US President being mourned.

So when will we get the Avengers 4 title and trailer, if not Wednesday?

Well, as it stands nobody seems to know.

Interestingly, however, it has also recently been claimed that the first teaser for Spider-Man: Far From Home would come out later this week.

But seeing as Spider-Man was killed off at the end of Infinity War, and that his death will be addressed in Avengers 4, it seems that skipping straight to Far From Home footage without covering off Avengers 4 is unlikely.

The new Captain Marvel trailer, meanwhile, has had tens of millions of views since its debut last night – or the early hours of this morning in UK.

It gives a clearer view of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers; as well as the characters played by Annette Bening, Jude Law and Ben Mendelsohn.

Larson will also be seen in Avengers 4, as she becomes a key player in Phase Four of Marvel’s storytelling.

Other projects rumoured to be en route include sequels for Black Panther and Doctor Strange, while it has also been reported that the movie debut of Shang-Chi is being fast-tracked.

If true, the latter will be the first Asian-led superhero movie.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26 in the US.
