Queen Letizia of Spain exudes elegance in simple wrap dress alongside King Felipe

Queen Letizia was the picture of chic as she appeared alongside her husband King Felipe in Madrid today. The royal leaders of Spain were receiving Princesa de Girona Foundation members at the Royal Palace in the Spanish capital. Letizia opted for a demure look with a checked, midi, stone blue wrap dress. Fastening just at her collarbone, the dress featured short sleeves, showing off the Queen’s shapely arms.

The dress’s belt was tied in a side bow at her waist and served to emphasise her svelte figure.

Letizia teamed the outfit with pointed, blue, snake-skin pattern high heels.

She held a blue clutch bag with a gold trim in her hand while small diamond and gold hoops adorned her ears.

The natural beauty opted for simple makeup, with a nude lipgloss and a dusting of eyeshadow.

Her glossy brown hair fell in a slight wave around her shoulders, completing the elegant look.

Letizia’s husband King Felipe also looked very smart in a navy suit and a salmon pink tie.

Letizia and Felipe are parents to Leonor, Princess of Asturias, 13, and Princess Sophia, 11.

The Spanish royal family attended a commemorative event to mark the 40th anniversary of Spanish Constitution on Thursday.

The royal family were photographed last week arriving at the Spanish Congress to mark the historic occasion along with the former King of Spain Juan Carlos I, and his wife Queen Sofia.

Wearing her hair in a chic chignon, Queen Letizia donned a figure-hugging red dress with long sleeves and carried a matching suede handbag. A pair of side nude heels completed her ensemble.

The pretty princesses, who looked as stylish as their mother, wore coordinating outfits for the royal event.

Their Royal Highnesses wore knee-length grey dresses in a soft wooden checkered material with cropped-sleeves.

One added navy knee-high socks and suede pumps while the other opted for maroon socks and shoes.

Stylish caped-coats finished off their outfits and kept the cold December chill away.

The day before, Her Majesty arrived for a concert in a navy blue satin dress with a pleated skirt and a dramatic V-neckline. 

A panel of delicate blue lace with a nude lining underneath gave the outfit a very modern edge. She teamed the glamorous look with a pair of coordinating suede pumps believed to be from Nina Ricci and a satin clutch bag.
