Star Wars: Qui-Gon Jinn would have saved Anakin in Revenge of the Sith PROVES new comic
The new official Star Wars comic, set before Episode I: The Phantom Menace, confirms that Qui-Gon Jinn knew the truth of the Dark Side. During a crisis of faith, the Jedi Master entered hyperspace, only being aided by The Force. There he senses the Force, but also the darkness that balances it. In a vision on this alien world, Qui-Gon Jinn realised that only in the face of darkness could light restore balance to the Force.
According to Screen Rant, this means Qui-Gon chose Anakin because of the light and darkness inside him.
In The Phantom Menace, he tells the Jedi Council of the decision: “It was the will of the Force, of that I have no doubt.”
So when Qui-Gon says he believes Anakin is the one to bring balance to the Force, to the Jedi Council this means one who will defeat the darkness to leave only light.
Whereas from Qui-Gon Jinn’s point of view, darkness must be accepted so that light can overcome it.
However, Qui-Gon died before he could train Anakin, and Obi-Wan Kenobi was unaware of this lesson.
Therefore, Qui-Gon is the only one who could have saved Anakin in Revenge of the Sith.
Meanwhile, Star Wars fans may not have seen the last of Qui-Gon Jinn.
After all, his Force ghost showed up in The Clone Wars TV show and was mentioned briefly in Revenge of the Sith.
