Emmanuel Macron’s wife Brigitte channels Melania Trump in powder blue Louis Vuitton suit
Brigitte, 64, made her first appearance as France’s First Lady at Macron’s inauguration ceremony yesterday, and the suit she wore bore striking similarities with the one Melania Trump wore to her husband’s inauguration.
She wore a structured powder blue military-style jacket with a matching tailored dress along with nude stiletto heels.
She accessorised with a small nude coloured handbag and wore her hair in a neat chignon.
Spectators may have noticed a similarity with what Melania, 47, wore for Donald’s inauguration ceremony in January.
She too wore a perfectly tailored powder blue dress and jacket.
The First Lady’s outfit was Ralph Lauren, and she accessorised with elbow-length gloves, a clutch bag and a pair of pointed-tow stiletto heels, all of the same her as her outfit.
A 31-year-old Jacqueline Kennedy wore a similar pale blue suit and gloves for the 1961 inauguration ceremony of her husband John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
It appears the First Lady of France had an eye for youthful style too.
The crisp white shirt was rolled up at the sleeves with high waisted black trousers.
The trousers had buttons around the pockets and waist, and she teamed the outfit with white heels with jewels on the toe.
But Melania wasn’t too strict with her outfit choice, as she flashed a hint of chest.
She accessorised with a chunky gold necklace and wore her hair down and in waves.
