Bumblebee runtime: How long is Bumblebee? Total running time revealed

Bumblebee, the sixth instalment of the Transformers, is hoping to right the path following plenty of missteps in the series’ decade-long run. Reviews are coming in and they are overwhelmingly positive, with Bumblebee holding a score of 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The prequel takes place in 1987 and has a kid-friendly age rating of PG.

But how long is Bumblebee?

Bumblebee clocks in at a quick (by industry standards) one hour and 53 minutes.

This just-under-two hour runtime is perfect for the age demographic the film is hitting.

Swapping the lascivious older-teenage boy gaze for a younger, all-gender-encompassing adolescent lens has helped the movie perform well with critics.

And the short runtime can’t hurt, especially in comparison to Bumblebee’s predecessors.

Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) had a run time of two hours and 34 minutes.

2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction was two hours and 45 minutes.

In hopes of drumming up more anticipation for the movie, Paramount released three clips in addition to the trailer.

The first clip shows the other Autobots landing on Earth, where they meet a hostile group from Sector 7, a secret government agency.

John Cena plays Agent Burns, the leader of Sector 7 and co-star alongside Steinfeld.

In the clip, you are also treated to the familiar voice of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.

The third new clip features Bumblebee too, but in a more serious moment.

He takes over driving control from Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie and tries to evade the police.

A new study published in the New York Times has proven movies with female leads outperform their male-led counterparts.

This can only be good news for Bumblebee, whose lead is played by Hailee Steinfeld.

Steinfeld’s Charlie, a tomboy about to turn 18, finds Bumblebee hiding in a junkyard in a small California beach town.

When she revives him, she quickly discovered her beloved car is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.

Bumblebee is out in UK cinemas on December 24, 2018.
