Sony has struck gold with their adaptation of the Miles Morales Spider-Man comic series. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has an all-star voice cast and an inimitable animation style. The movie holds a 97 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes and critics and fans alike are lauding the film for the script, animation, story, and more.

Sony has officially released the entire script for fans to read and download online.

The screenplay runs 132 pages, which is nothing for any true Marvel comic fan.

Into the Spider-Verse stars Shameik Moore as the voice of Miles Morales, a teenage Spider-Man from Brooklyn.

He learns quickly that his powers come with responsibilities and is introduced to an entire host of other Spider-People from different dimensions.

Other voice actors Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, Zoë Kravitz, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn, Nicolas Cage, Kathryn Hahn, and Liev Schreiber.

Into the Spider-Verse’s co-director Rodney Rothman told Metro: “In terms of the immediate future everyone is genuinely just looking to rest and spend time with their families.

“Going forward everything is still getting figured out,” he added.

“We have been really pleased with how audiences have responded to the movie.

“Especially the bigger risks that we took. Which were scary for us.

“But that has been one of the most gratifying things for us. Seeing those risks pay off and that audiences enjoy them.

“So I think going forward that is really the key part of the thinking, not just in telling these stories.

“But how we can keep pushing Miles’ story and the visuals and all those things and stay with the spirit of this movie and the spirit of experimentation and pushing boundaries.”

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is being heralded as reinvigorating the superhero franchise.

Though still wildly popular, Superhero movies have become similar in theme and to be able to shake up the formula has proven fruitful.

Emily Yoshida of Vulture was likewise impressed, and wrote: “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse feels like the first major animated film in ages to actively try something stylistically new that didn’t involve proprietary Scandinavian building blocks.”

Ty Burr of the Boston Globe gave it an impressive four out of four stars.

Burr wrote: “A pop-art roller coaster ride with soul, it can dazzle even a sick-of-superheroes doubter with two hours of thoroughgoing delight.

“Take the kids. Better yet, take the kid in yourself.”
