Avengers Endgame title: Marvel boss Kevin Feige SPEAKS OUT on Doctor Strange link

Last night the Marvel Studios chief attended the Golden Globes for the first time ever. Feige was there to support the awards campaign for Black Panther as one of its producers. And during a red carpet interview with MTV News, the producer was asked about when Marvel decided on Avengers Endgame being the official title of Avengers 4. Despite rumours, the movie was called Infinity Gauntlet and Annihilation at different times, the producer said they called it Endgame from the very beginning.

Feige said: “So Doctor Strange says that line because we knew it was the title.”

Fans will remember during Avengers Infinity War’s third act Doctor Strange handed over the Time Stone to Thanos in exchange for Tony Stark’s life.

Confused by the illogical trade – knowing Thanos would go on to kill half the universe – Iron Man asked why he did it.

The Sorcerer Supreme said, “We’re in the Endgame now”, referring to his triggering of the one possible future – of the 14,000,605 he viewed earlier in the film – in which the Avengers would defeat Thanos.

Whatever happens in Avengers Endgame, it’s certainly the most secretive film ever made.

When Feige was asked if the marketing for the film would only show the first 15-20 minutes of the movie to avoid spoilers, he didn’t exactly say no.

The producer added: “I’d call it somewhat accurate. I think as was the case with a lot of our films, this one in particular, y’know, being able to generate excitement without giving away any of the many, many, many, many secrets would be ideal.

“And I think that the Disney marketing team is the best in the world, and will be able to pull it off.”

Avengers Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
