Captain Marvel NEW trailer: How to watch the brand new Captain Marvel trailer online

Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former US Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes. She joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity. As this happens, Earth is caught in the centre of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds and Carol Danvers is the key to it all.

The brand new featurette gives a snippet of humour from the upcoming Captain Marvel film, which was lacking in previous trailers.

Captain Marvel’s co-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck spoke to Fandango in an exclusive interview about the tone of the film.

Boden said Captain Marvel “has a lot of playfulness in it, and that kind of buddy-cop vibe that Captain Marvel has with the Nick Fury character was really an important touchstone for us.”

Fleck added: “Like the ‘80s and ‘90s buddy-cop movies, like 48 Hrs. or Lethal Weapon.”

Fans familiar with previous trailers will recognise some moments in the new clip.

For example, the infamous punching an old lady on the subway clip is shown in this featurette as well as other trailers.

In the clip, Captain Marvel is also shown approaching a young Nick Fury with information about the impending Skrull invasion of Earth.

To prove herself not a Skrull, she fires a photon blast from her hand.

This is just one of a myriad of powers Danvers has, which make her a formidable opponent.

In fact, in the featurette, Fury himself says: “I’ve never seen anything like her.”

The actress Brie Larson, who won an Oscar for her role in Room, plays Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel.

A young Carol Danvers is played by Mckenna Grace.

So far, fans suspect Jude Law stars as Mar-Vell / Walter Lawson but there has been some doubt as to this.

Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as Nick Fury, with an age regression to make him appear younger as the movie is set in the 1990s.

Like Jackson, Clark Gregg is also undergoing age regression to reprise his role as Phil Coulson, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ben Mendelsohn is set to play Talos / Frank Bush, a shape-shifting leader of the Skrull who invades Earth.

Djimon Hounsou plays Korath – a Kree mercenary and member of the Starforce.

Lee Pace is reprising the role Ronan the Accuser from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

Ronan is a high-ranking but fanatical Kree alien who is also a baddie, though perhaps not the main antagonist of the film.

Lashana Lynch plays one of Danvers’ oldest friends and fellow Air Force pilot Maria Rambeau.

Gemma Chan is set to portray another Kree alien named Minn-Erva, who just like Ronan, is obsessed with the Kree alien evolution.

The members of Starforce include Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass and Rune Temte as Bron-Char.

Robert Kazinsky, Annette Bening, Vik Sahay, Colin Ford, and Chuku Modu are also appearing in the movie in undisclosed roles.
