Brie Larson reveals why she was ‘so SCARED’ about playing Captain Marvel – WATCH

Back in June 2016, Larson was announced as the MCU’s Captain Marvel. But it turns out she had to keep her casting a secret for an entire year. With all the pressure on her not to spoil the Avengers Endgame prequel, the 29-year-old has admitted she was “so scared” about letting the secrets out before Captain Marvel was released. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, Larson said: “I’m just relieved I haven’t spoiled it yet. Honestly, that’s the only thing.”

Kimmel asked: “Have you been nervous about it?”

She replied: “Yes! I’ve been so scared. I wasn’t allowed to tell anybody that I was even playing Captain Marvel for a year.

The host enquired: “Did you tell anybody though?”

Larson said: “No! Are you kidding me I was so scared…I hate getting in trouble.”

She added: “We’ll see what happens. I love all the female characters so much.

“So, of course, like that’s what I’m interested in. I’m super into an all-female Avengers movie.

“Yeah, I think that would just be, it would just be cool to see all of them interact together.”

Captain Marvel is released in UK cinemas on March 8, 2019.
