Meghan Markle news: Royal stuns in £1200 dress as she attends Commonwealth event today

Meghan looked chic as she stepped out in a cream outfit with matching hat and coat for a Commonwealth Day event.

The Duchess of Sussex wore a cream dress, decorated with black chains across the dress that cut off just below the knee, with a matching coat.

The bespoke Victoria Beckham dress, £1,200, had a high V-neck and features a black chain print over it.

The stylish royal wore a cream hat and textured cream coat which features a slit at the bottom of each side.

Meghan arrived at the event with her husband, Prince Harry, 34, and wore a silver ring on the index and middle finger of right hand and nude nail polish.

Meghan brought a pop of colour to her outfit as she held onto a small satin emerald clutch, £370.

She added matching dark green satin high heels.

The dress had a loose fit with a dropped waist, and long sleeves could be seen from the sleeves in her coat.

The event was also attended by members of her family including Kate Middleton, 37, and Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan wore an outfit worth over £2k as she attended Commonwealth Day Youth Event at Canada House in London today. 

As she headed for the event, she wore a dark green garment featuring black appliqué, known as Doria beaded rose embroidery, the Express.co.uk was told.

She later unbuttoned the coat to unveil a dress made from the same green fabric.

She tied the look together with a black Givenchy clutch bag that she carried before, and that has a price tag of £1530.

The look was completed with with a pair of black high heels shoes, which had a pointed toe.

On Friday, the Duchess defied ‘royal protocol’ on International Women’s Day in a £2.6k look. 

Meghan wore the Azzura Swirl Printed Shift dress to appear on a panel to discuss issues facing women.

The Duchess carried her Stella McCartney Black Shaggy Deer Faux Leather Crossbody Bag, which costs £706.52.

She finished the look with a black blazer and matching black high heels.

Meghan wore bare legs for the appearance, which has been said to be against royal protocol.
