Kate Middleton wears modified version of £3500 dress from the 2017 BAFTAS and a £1659 bag

Kate Middleton wore the stunning black dress with a floral print.

The Duchess rarely wears the colour black, however fans will recognise this garment.

The Alexander McQueen dress from the 2017 BAFTAS as been modified to feature cap sleeves instead of the off-the-shoulder design from two years ago.

The dress is a modified version of the Tiered Violet Jacquard Dress from the Fall 2016 collection.

The silk dress is now sold out, but has been listed on resale site Lyst for $4,659.00 or £3,567.86.

Kate also opted for the very same clutch she wore for her BAFTAS 2017 appearance.

It is the Heart-clasp Satin Box Clutch, which sold for £1659 on Matches Fashion.

The Duchess appeared to forego jewellery for the starry event.

Kate was not the only royal at the National Portrait Gallery in London tonight.

Princess Beatrice attended with her boyfriend.
