Avengers Endgame: Thor and Captain Marvel for HUGE team-up against Thanos? 'He's SCREWED'

The pair are seen very briefly coming face-to-face at the end of the new trailer for Avengers: Endgame, which releases in just over a month’s time. This will be Carol’s first time with the Avengers in the present day, and her arrival was teased very briefly in the mid-credits scene of her own Captain Marvel movie. Their introduction in this trailer has sparked a lot of conversation online.

In the quick coda, a steely Carol (Brie Larson) approaches Thor (Chris Hemsworth) who – perhaps in test to see if she’ll flinch – summons his iconic hammer.

It whistles straight past her head but she barely even blinks; keeping her gaze fixed on Thor.

He says simply: “I like this one”.

The God of Thunder then breaks the serious act and grins mischievously at a nearby Natasha (Scarlett Johansson).

The beat has sparked a firestorm of excited tweets online.

“B**CH!!!! THEY ARE GOING TO DEFEAT THANOS TOGETHER!!!!” yelled one very excited fan.

“THOR JUST SAID HE LIKES CAROL THEY WILL BE THE UNSTOPPABLE DUO AND THANOS IS ALREADY SURRENDERING,” said another caps-lock enthusiast.

“carol danvers and thor about to f*** thanos up and slay together,” declared a third person.

Someone else tweeted: “Look at them. Carol didn’t even blink and Thor is already stanning her as expected.

“Thanos is so screwed now. He better get a new gauntlet and snap himself out of existence because the strongest avengers are coming for his head.”

“I can’t wait until thor and carol singlehandedly murder thanos together,” quipped yet another user.

Avengers: Endgame is out on April 25.
