Star Wars 9 leaks confirm BAD news for Kylo Ren? 'This is the end' – Is he going to DIE?

Many fans will never forgive Kylo Ren. The villain formerly known as Ben Solo killed his father, one of the most beloved and iconic figures in movie history, in cold blood at the end of The Force Awakens. The Original Trilogy was the redemption arc of Anakin Skywalker, who fell to the Dark Side in The Prequel Trilogy. Kylo Ren has already done terrible things and is looking likely to do even worse in the Sequel Trilogy, yet any will struggle if the final film forgives him in any way. Of course, Darth Vader/Anakin was redeemed as he died and a major new comment from a Star Wars icon seems to point towards the same fate for Kylo.

The new information seems even more ominous when combined with a public declaration by the head of Lucasfilm.

Back in 2017, Kathleen Kennedy discussed plans for what would come after Star Wars Episode 9.

She said: “We’re sitting down now and we’re talking about the next ten years of Star Wars and we’re looking at narratively where that might go. Future stories beyond Episode 9 with these new characters, Rey, Poe, Finn, BB8… The possibilities are endless.”

Poe Dameron actor Oscar Issacs told the Today Show in America why the upcoming film was so exciting.

He said: “It is the end of the entire Skywalker saga. Nine stories. This is the culmination of the entire thing. What JJ has done, and the entire Lucasfilm team, is gonna be incredibly fulfilling. It’s also special for us because you get to learn a lot more things about these characters.”

At the moment, there is only one Skywalker still alive – that fans know of, at least.

If the Skywalker saga is ending, it seems certain it is also the end of the line for Ben Solo, son of Leia who, of course, was the daughter of Anakin Skywalker. 

The latest trilogy has not tried to disguise the circular echoing repetitions of the Original three films. They ended with the death of the fallen figure, redeemed through self-sacrifice.

Isaacs’ latest comments are more fuel for the theory that Kylo Ren/Ben Solo will somehow die to save others and make his way back to the Light at the very end.

Of course, many still believe Rey is also a Skywalker…
