Avengers Endgame: 'Iron Man and Captain America are the EMOTIONAL focus' – Will they DIE?

Just what is going to happen in Avengers Endgame? Rumoured to be around three hours long, the marketing for the Infinity War sequel has barely revealed anything. Nevertheless, Marvel boss Feige has teased that the big focus of Endgame is on the original six Avengers, but especially Captain America and Iron Man. Speaking with EMPIRE, he said: “People would point out that that Cap wasn’t in Infinity War a whole lot.”

He added: “And Iron Man didn’t really speak for that last half hour because of what was going on.”

Feige is certainly right. Avengers Infinity War saw both Thanos and Thor share the most screen time.

In fact, both followed a hero’s journey arc until the Asgardian King landed Stormbreaker in the Mad Titan’s chest.

Having not gone for the head, Infinity War turned out to be Thanos’ movie all along.

In fact, both Iron Man and Captain America were almost sidelined in Infinity War, yet it sounds like Endgame is very much their movie.

Feige added: “But those characters [Tony Stark and Steve Rogers] and all of the original six are very much the focus of Endgame in a very personal and emotional way.”

It’s certainly no coincidence that the original six Avengers survived the Snap and now have to resurrect the characters who will be taking the MCU movie franchise forward without them.

While some characters like Ant-Man and Black Widow are probably sticking around, does this “personal and emotional” focus suggest that franchise leads Iron Man and Captain America will kick the bucket?
