Kate Middleton: Sweet link Prince Louis & Princess Charlotte shared on first ever outings

Kate Middleton, 37, and Prince William, 36, are both senior working royals. In an effort to manage their full-time roles with their lives as parents-of-three, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge employ a nanny to help care for the little ones. Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo joined the family as the royal nanny in March 2014, according to reports, which was when Prince George was eight months old. The nanny, who is from Spain, trained at the prestigious Norland College in Bath.

Having taken on the royal role some months after the birth of Prince George, now five, Maria has played a prominent part in the lives of Princess Charlotte, now three, and Prince Louis, 11 months, from the very beginning.

And, on their younger two children’s very first public outings, Kate and Prince William made a nod to the nanny in a very touching way.

Princess Charlotte could be seen wearing a handmade bonnet at the time, when they stepped out onto the steps of the Lindo Wing.

The garment itself had been given to the young princess by Maria, and was purchased from a clothing store in Spain.

Last year, the Spanish children’s boutique, Irulea, said that the bonnet was purchased from their shop three years previously.

Maria and her mother are thought to have selected two kinds – in ivory and white, the owner of the shop told PEOPLE.

Fast forward to 2018, and the bonnet was once again spotted on the head of a royal baby.

Making his debut in the world on April 23 last year, the newborn royal could be seen wearing the knitted headpiece.

However, one particular difference between the outings of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis is that the young princess could be seen with the item on her head in the opposite direction to how it was designed to be worn.

The latter outing showed Prince Louis wearing the cap the right way round.

Since his birth, the young prince has rarely been seen in public.

That’s because Kate and Prince William have decided to give their children as much privacy as possible during their childhood.

However, Prince Louis fans may get to see the tot again very soon.

That’s because he will celebrate his first birthday next month.

While it’s not a dead cert, the royals may release an official photograph of the youngster to mark the milestone.

It’ll come some months after the Cambridge family posed for a capture as a family of five during a countryside walk – with the photo being released ahead of Christmas last year.
