Avengers Endgame tickets on sale NOW: Cinema websites CRASH amid huge demand

Tickets for the Marvel epic began coming out globally this lunchtime but most seemed to be live by 1pm UK time – both here and in the US. Amid the enormous hype for the film, fans have experienced difficulties in getting through to some cinema chains, although most seem to be working sporadically on repeat attempts. This ticket release date is in line with previous leaks and speculation that pinned down April 2 as the big day.

At time of writing, Vue is even reverting users to an online queue.

“Has #vue and #odeon pages crashed already,” one fan observed on Twitter.

“So odeon and Cineworld crashed,” said someone else.

“#AvengersEndgame Tickets went on sale and Light Cinemas, Vue and Odeon have all crashed. Just my luck hey?” complained a third user.

A new advert was spotted on Snapchat moments before a minute-long trailer was released at 1pm, giving an extended first look at Thanos for the first time since the Infinity War finale.

In the clip, he says: “You could not live with your own failure.

“Where did that bring you? Back to me.”

As they announced the arrival of tickets, many cinema chains revealed plans for midnight screenings and special fan events.

In the US, AMC posted: “It is the moment you’ve been waiting for. #AvengersEndgame tickets are on sale NOW! See it first at the #AMCTheatres Opening Night Fan Event.”

And ArcLight tweeted: “Avenge the fallen. Tickets for @MarvelStudios #AvengersEndGame are available now.”
