Star Wars 9 leaks reveal the Luke and Kylo Ren Episode IX scene EVERYONE wants
In exactly one week fans should finally have had their first look at Star Wars 9. The first trailer is expected to drop during the Episode IX panel at Star Wars Celebration on April 12. As well as the new characters like Rey, Finn and Poe, it will almost certainly reveal Billy Dee Williams’ return as Lando Calrissian but many suspect we will have to wait a little longer to see how the final film in the Skywalker saga will handle the return of Luke. A new leak claims the original Star Wars hero will deliver exactly what fans are hoping for in a thrilling new scene.
As always take these claims with a huge pinch of salt, although previous leaks lined up with what was shown recently at the Disney shareholders presentation which revealed ten Star Wars Episode IX scenes.
The leak said: “It’s described that Mark Hamill shot a sequence in January over at Cardington Sheds for a scene in the third act of the film, where it’s said Mark Hamill was in a stand-off with Adam Driver in front of what appear to be Jedi runes.
“It is said Hamill was wielding an ignited green lightsaber in front of Adam Driver who was wielding his traditional crossguard lightsaber. It is said to be an action-heavy sequence for both Hamill and Driver that is said to be brief yet powerful.”

“Another sequence was shot where Kylo was walking towards Luke where Hamill was standing a guarded fashion which eventually lead to a sequence where both had their lightsabers clashing against each other. Hamill was wearing his ceremonial robes and appeared to have shorter hair than usual with a beard for the sequence.
“Lastly, a shot was filmed where Hamill was walking slowly towards Adam, who was knocked down to the floor and appeared to react in an angry way toward Luke Skywalker.”
This would throw up the tantalising possibility that Luke can still physically manifest and affect the living world. Yoda already showed it is possible in The Last Jedi when he summoned lightning and ignited the Force tree on Ahch-To.
Could Luke go one further and actually battle Kylo Ren, physically as well as with the Force?
One of the biggest criticisms of the Sequel Trilogy so far is that Luke has not shown his full powers, or had a proper lightsaber battle, now that we know the hone of Crait was an illusion.
A climactic Luke lightsaber battle in Episode IX would be a guaranteed fan pleaser for everyone on both sides of the ongoing backlash and fan split.
There have been so many leaks rumours and reports but a common thread seems to suggest that Luke will appear in two different ways during the film.
Firstly, he will be shown in some sort of flashback, rather like the Forceback visions of The Force Awakens and Kylo’s memory of their fight shown to Rey in The Last Jedi. However, there is strong anticipation that Jj Abrams will also bring back Luke as a Force ghost.
It is unlikely either will be revealed in the first teaser trailer, but fan fingers will be firmly crossed…
