Avengers 5: Will there be another Avengers movie? What happens after Avengers Endgame?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe so far contains 22 movies, including the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. Phase Three of the MCU will come to a close with Endgame, in UK cinemas on Thursday, April 25. Many believe the original generation of superheroes will sacrifice themselves for those who were ‘snapped’ out of existence by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

So will there be another Avengers movie?

As for Phase Four of the MCU, there will likely be another group film, but when remains to be seen.

Disney has yet to confirm what the group movie would be about, nor when it will be released.

What happens after Avengers: Endgame?

Phase Four of the MCU will begin with Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The next chapter in the MCU also includes Black Widow’s standalone movie, Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Shang-Chi, and The Eternals.

According to Inverse.com, Avengers 5 will likely be released on May 7, 2021, or May 6, 2022.

Allie Gemmill wrote for Inverse: “The amount of time between then and now (at time of writing, it’s April 17, 2019) means there’s enough time to lay the groundwork for an overarching narrative that a fifth Avengers film could then focus on while also establishing the stories for new and veteran MCU heroes.”

Gemmill further bolstered her prediction by basing it on previous group Avengers releases.

The Avengers came out in cinemas on the first weekend of May 2012.

Avengers: Age of Ultron was released the first weekend of May 2015.

Avengers: Infinity War was out in cinemas on April 26, 2018.

And as we know, Avengers: Endgame is out on the same weekend as its predecessor, 2019.

Many first-generation Avengers will likely meet their end during Avengers: Endgame.

And though characters like Captain America, Iron Man, and Bruce Banner may not appear in Avengers 5, there are plenty of loveable superheroes who will.

Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy will all likely feature in future group MCU films.

Not to mention the addition of Shang-Chi and the Eternals.

These characters all have a long future ahead of them with the MCU.

But first, they must reverse the snap.
