Royal baby style: Where will Meghan Markle buy her baby's clothes from?
As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, 34, get set to welcome their first child, they will probably not be short on designers offering to dress the royal baby. Throughout her pregnancy, the Duchess of Sussex has received a number of baby gifts while on her travels, but she is still sure to have stocked up her baby’s wardrobe with her own choices too. Meghan has often stepped out wearing a number of stylish outfits and many royal enthusiasts wait to see if she will dress the new royal baby in designer outfits. Meghan opted for a mostly designer wardrobe so she may choose to do this for her child, but she could also take some tips from other royals and go for a more traditional look.
During her pregnancy, Meghan has often worn designer options and her entire pregnancy wardrobe totalled at around £482,141.
She was spotted wearing the luxury designer shoe brand, Aquazzura, more than any other brand during her pregnancy, and when it came to her clothes, she opted for mostly designer as well.
Her expensive looks included a love of high-end designers and when it came to clothes, her most worn designer was Gucci, who she wore seven times.
If she decides to stick with the designer, she will be able to buy Gucci newborn baby grows from £145.
Although she had a pricey maternity wardrobe, she also wore things from affordable brands such as H&M and ASOS, which means the royal baby could be dressed in bargain outfits.
If Meghan opts to take advice from other members of the Royal Family, her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, 37, has often dressed her royal children in traditional and affordable British brands.
The Duchess of Cambridge has purchased items from local designers, such as British brand Rachel Riley.
The brand offers traditional styles and a pair of their smock-style dungarees worn by Prince George cost £75, which means her choices are reasonably affordable.
Kate has also picked up outfits from other British retailers, including Cath Kidston and high-street retailer, John Lewis, which means she has stayed close to home.
Meghan could take some tips from Kate and pick out traditional items from some of the same British designers.
During Kate’s pregnancy, she mostly wore designs by small or British companies, and looked to similar designers when dressing her children.
But if Meghan chooses to stick with high-end fashion choices like she did through her pregnancy, royal fans can expect to see the new baby dressed in some luxurious outfits..
After the Duchess of Sussex has her baby, there are some royal traditions she will be expected to follow.
The gender of a royal baby is usually something that is kept under wraps, and so far Meghan and Harry have been doing this as they leave the world guessing whether they will have a boy or girl.
Meghan has been known to break royal protocol on many different occasions, so when it comes to following royal baby traditions she could do this again.
