Avengers Endgame: You DON'T need to see Captain Marvel and Ant-Man and the Wasp, just THIS

Last year Avengers Infinity War was released leaving a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. Thanos successfully murdered half the universe in the Snap, but before the conclusion could be seen in Avengers Endgame, Marvel released two prequel movies in Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel. Ant-Man 2 is set just prior to Infinity War, with Scott Lang having been absent during the events of Infinity War, while Captain Marvel is set in 1995. But really both films are standalone solo outings that have little to do with Avengers Endgame, so do you really need to see them beforehand?

Well, it’s no coincidence that both Captain Marvel and Ant-Man and the Wasp were released in-between Infinity War and Endgame.

While both are set before Infinity War, they could contain something of a teaser for what the Avengers’ plan in Endgame will be in the fightback against Thanos.

But ultimately, if fans don’t have time to see either movie before Endgame it isn’t the end of the world.

However, both films’ mid-credits scenes are the only thing that audiences really should watch before the Marvel epic is out this weekend.

AVENGERS ENDGAME REVIEWS

Luckily, Marvel Studios have released every end credits scene online for free.

Without going into details, (you can watch both above to find out) they give context to both Ant-Man and Captain Marvel before they’re introduced in Endgame.

If fans don’t see these scenes, it’s possible they might be wondering why and how both superheroes are where they are.

After all, this should be pretty evident from the trailers for Avengers Endgame.
