The final Avengers movie is packed with returning stars from the entire franchise across eleven years and over twenty movies. But there are also some cheeky cameos. Screenings are unsurprisingly filled with cheers ant some of the most triumphant moments and tears for the sad ones. Audiences have also been reacting wildly to one particular cameo. Obviously, everything beyond here contains spoilers so do not read beyond this point if you haven’t seen the movie.

The cameo takes place after Scott Lang (Ant-Man) is finally released from the Quantum Realm by a rat wandering across the control panel.

He materialises inside a warehouse storage facility because the Pyms and Janet Van Dyne were dusted in The Snap and Scott is presumed dead. Waving at a security camera he is spotted by a guard.

The famous star playing the role is instantly recognisable despite the fake moustache and baseball cap. He also has a very close secret link to the Avengers movies. 

Audiences chuckle every time because the actor is Ken Jeong.

He shot to fame worldwide in the Hangover movies and enjoyed enormous success in the Crazy Rich Asians rom-com.

The American comedian is also well known to US audiences for his role in the popular comedy show Community, which is also why he pops up in Avengers Endgame.

Two of the producers on Community just happen to be Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of the world’s biggest film this year (and potentially of all time).

The film also features a dizzying array of cameos from actors who appeared across the MCU in the various Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and other franchises.

Some feature prominently, others like Natalie Portman’s Jane are seen but not heard.

Few, though, generate the ripple of warmth and laughter received by Jeong’s cheeky moment.
