Avengers Endgame: Actor behind THAT surprise cameo speaks out on shock return (SPOILERS)

WARNING: Major spoilers ahead for Avengers Endgame.

Remember Harley Keener from Iron Man 3? He’s the guy standing amongst the Marvel superstars in one of the film’s closing scenes.

This is your last chance to dodge one massive spoiler, so look away now if you haven’t seen the movie.

The scene is Tony Stark’s funeral, and more casual fans of the MCU have been asking who the kid was.

It’s Ty Simpkins, the same actor who played Harley in Iron Man 3, and he’s taken to Instagram to confirm it was him.

He wrote on his Story: “To everyone DMing me and commenting on my post let me answer your questions at once.

“I was in Endgame at the part you think I was!

“I was in Iron Man 3 bringing back my character as Harley Keener!”

He added: “Please, please do not spoil it in my comment section, I’ve had to delete several comments.

“Thank you so much for all your support!!!”

He had attended the premiere in LA last Monday, and spoken about his love for the Marvel family.

“Had a blast at the Endgame premiere!” he wrote.

“Love catching up with some old friends! I’m happy this movie finishes this chapter of the Marvel saga.

“To be a part of this universe. The past 10 years of my life have been a joy.

“Even though I joined the party late everyone there treated me like I’ve been there since Iron Man in 2008.

“I’m so excited to see where the MCU is going in the future. Here’s to the last 10 years and to 10 more.”

Several other characters returned for that funeral sequence, including Hollywood royalty like Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May Parker.

Angela Bassett was even seen in one fleeting Wakanda scene at the very end.
