IT Chapter 2 trailer: HORRIFYING Pennywise sequel to release teaser on THIS day? It's SOON

An announcement has been spotted in Times Square, New York, confirming that viewers can see a first look at the horror sequel on Thursday.

Pennywise the Clown, played by Bill Skarsgard, will be back to terrorise the Losers’ Club once again when the story continues with its chilling second chapter.

The brief plot synopsis reads: “Twenty-seven years after the events of the summer of 1989, It (Bill Skarsgård) returns.

“The Losers’ Club fulfil their promises and return to Derry to put an end to the evil being once and for all.

“Unbeknownst to them, It has returned, stronger and crueler than ever.”

This time, the Losers’ Club are all adults – although the young cast from the 2017 original will be seen again in flashback.

James McAvoy plays Bill, Jessica Chastain is Beverly, Jay Ryan is Ben, Bill Hader is Richie, Isaiah Mustafa is Mike, James Ransone is Eddie and Andy Bean is Stanley.

Of course it’s unclear exactly how much will be revealed in this first trailer, but Chastain recently let slip that one scene in particular from the film breaks a gruesome record.

“It might be a spoiler, but in the movie there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film, in a scene.

“And I’ll tell you the next day I was pulling blood out of my eyeballs – fake blood!”

It was a huge success back in 2017; amassing a hefty $700.4 million at the global box office against a budget of around $35 million.

It: Chapter 2 is out on September 6.
