IT Chapter 2 FIRST REACTION from Stephen King for Pennywise Clown sequel
Last year the first part of Stephen King’s scary clown adaptation stormed the box office, taking $700 million worldwide on a budget of just $35 million. In fact, It topped The Exorcist as the highest-grossing horror movie of all time. Now It Chapter 2, the second half of the iconic novel, hits cinemas this year and King himself has already seen it. The author took to Twitter to share his first reaction.
King tweeted: “Looking forward to IT CHAPTER 2? You should be.
“I’ve seen it, and it’s terrific. The trailer is coming Thursday, at noon. You’ll float.”
Well, it looks like the Pennywise sequel has its creator’s approval, which makes the wait for this week’s first trailer even more tantalising.
It Chapter 2 is set 27 years after the events of the first film, which took place over the summer of 1989 in Derry, Maine.
Chastain added: “I love the scary stuff, but it’s more fun to be the scary person than the one getting scared. I’m gonna say something and I think I’m gonna be in trouble, but I’m gonna do it!
“It might be a spoiler, but in the movie there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film, in a scene.
“And I’ll tell you the next day I was pulling blood out of my eyeballs – fake blood!”
IT Chapter Two is released in UK cinemas on September 6, 2019.
