James Bond girl Halle Berry open to RETURN after Die Another Day

She starred as Jinx in Pierce Brosnan’s final James Bond movie Die Another Day, and now Berry fancies a return to the 007 franchise. It’s been seventeen years since her reenactment of Ursula Andress’ ocean resurface and now the 52-year-old is back in action for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Speaking with Hello magazine to promote the movie, she was asked about a Bond comeback. Berry said: “Well, maybe not tomorrow because I’m kind of busy right now so my dance card is sort of full.”

Berry continued: “But in a few years time if they asked, I’d do it. Right now, I’m busy being a Sofia girl.

“It was one of the best experiences of my career working with that family, so I’m excited to see the new film.

“I knew I was strong enough to do this [John Wick] role which is why I reached out to Chad [Stahelski, the director] and told him he didn’t have a choice but to cast me.

“I know I am 52 but I am also strong and active and I am tired of being defined by the number of my birthdays.”

She added: “It’s really important that we women start to kick ageism in the face by showing what we can do.”

If Berry returned to Bond, she wouldn’t be the first actress to do so.

While Léa Seydoux returns as Madeleine Swann in Bond 25, Maud Adams played two different Bond girls.

She was Andrea Anders in 1974’s The Man with the Golden Gun, before starring in the title role of 1983’s Octopussy.

While Tsai Chin played Ling in You Only Live Twice, before returning as Madam Wu in Casino Royale.
