Kate Middleton wears eye-catching yellow dress as she attends Trooping the Colour

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, exuded elegance in a pale yellow ensemble for this year’s event. Trooping the Colour is an annual ceremony performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies, which coincides with the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. The event, which sees 1,400 soldiers, 300 horses and 400 musicians take part, involves a parade down the Mall in London and ends at Buckingham Palace.

Kate turned heads wearing a pastel yellow coat dress with a slight V-neck line and structured shoulders.

She also donned a matching colour fascinator, which tilted to the right side of her head and featured a floral and ribbon design on the left.

The Duchess’ hair was coiffed into a perfect up do, with her hair gathered at the nape of her neck, and she accessorised with a pair of delicate diamond and pearl drop earrings and necklace.

A flawless makeup look, with plenty of rose-coloured blusher and natural looking eyes and lips completed the look.

After arriving for the parade with husband Prince William, Kate jumped in a hose-drawn carriage with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.

Today is the first time Meghan has been seen out in public since the photocall to mark the birth hers and Prince Harry’s son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Duchess of Sussex has been on maternity leave, so has been absent from the last couple of royal events – including the US President Donald Trump’s visit earlier this week.

Meghan arrived to today’s event wearing a navy angel-sleeve dress, which featured a high neck and a wrap around front.

Like Kate, she wore her hair in a low chignon, and matched her fascinator to the colour of her dress.

Meghan accesorised with a small pair of square diamond earrings and held on to a quilted teal-coloured clutch bag.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, who was also in attendance, opted to wear a pastel-coloured ensemble like Kate.

She looked stunning in a mint green coat dress, embroidered with a white floral design on the right and left breast and the forearms.

Camilla paired the outfit with a large cream hat, which perfectly complemented her cream leather gloves and pearl necklace and earrings.

The main event, the Queen, arrived alone to Buckingham Palace, as it was announced her husband Prince Philip was not taking part in this year’s parade.

Rather than her usual bright-coloured ensemble, the Queen was wearing a neutral coloured outfit with pale pink and blue stitching.

Sequins were delicately stitched to her hat and in a flower arrangement around the buttons on her coat.
