Toy Story 4 end credits scene: Is there a post-credits scene?
Toy Story 4 currently holds a rare perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes – 100 percent. The final, we think, instalment in the beloved franchise comes to cinemas this Friday (June, 21). Fans are now savvy enough to know that leaving as the credits begin to roll is not always a safe bet for their favourite films.
Is there a post-credits scene in Toy Story 4?
According to the many lucky folks who attended preview screenings of Toy Story 4, there is both a mid-credits and post-credits scene.
What those scenes entail, however, has yet to be confirmed.
Marvel movies have expertly employed the post-credit teaser over the last 10 years.
Now, more and more franchise films are using them to tease upcoming movies.
According to BleedingCool.com: “There’s a mid-credit scene that continues the story of the characters after the very emotional ending of the movie (no spoiler there, it is a Toy Story movie after all).
“But then you will want to stay until the very end.
“And then you get a tiny little post-credit scene revisiting a couple of characters in the movie and totally revisiting a scene that had left us hanging from the middle of the movie in a very, very satisfying fashion.
“You will feel better for it. And so will the kids.”
TOY STORY 4 REVIEW: HILARIOUS, TEAR-JERKING RETURN OF WOODY AND BUZZh
ScreenRant’s Rob Keyes called the short post-credits clip “cute.”
Previous Toy Story films also had mid-credits scenes, but nothing once the credits had stopped.
ScreenRant wrote: “This clip, however, seems to just be an extra gag that pays off something else in the film rather than teasing a sequel.”
Anticipation for Toy Story 4 is high; the fourquel has beaten the first-day pre-sale ticket record on Fandango, previously held by Incredibles 2.
TOY STORY 4: ‘CREEPY’ VILLAIN REVEALED BY CHRISTINA HENDRICKS
Industry experts predict Toy Story 4 will likely break the all-time animated opening box office record.
Deadline reports that some box office analysts believe Toy Story 4 could make £158.4 million ($200m) in North America in its first three days.
If the movie hits this target, it will break the record for the best opening weekend for an animated film.
The record is currently held by Incredibles 2 which made £144.6m ($182.6m) last summer.
Toy Story 4 is now playing in cinemas.
