Royal Ascot 2019: The Queen adds a pop of colour in yellow and grey suit for Ladies Day

Royal Ascot continued today with Ladies Day and members of the Royal Family turned up to enjoy the event. The Queen arrived wearing a lovely grey jacket over a matching lilac dress. Opting for her classic style of suit, the Queen dressed it up by adding a pop of yellow to the coat. She wore a matching lilac hat which had bright yellow flowers around the centre.

Arriving in a carriage, the Queen was spotted sitting with her daughter, Princess Anne.

She wore her pastel purple coat buttoned up and yellow floral detailing could be seen around the collar.

The Queen prepared for all weathers with a pair of white gloves and carried a black leather bag in her hand.

The Monarch also wore a gold brooch pinned to the right side of her jacket.

The outfit was dressed up with a white pearl necklace and earrings set.

The textured coat continued down and cut off just above the knee. 

Keeping her make-up look simple, the Queen opted for a slick of pink lipstick and touch of blusher. 

This is the third day she has turned up to watch the races as Ascot. 

The Queen has also been accompanied by other members of the Royal Family and arrived with Princess Anne. 

Princess Eugenie also turned up for Ladies Day and chose to contrast the Queen’s look in a turquoise dress. 

Princess Eugenie’s dress had a high neck and was completely sleeveless. 

Earlier, members of the public turned up for the event in a host of bold and colourful outfits. 

A number of guests demanded attention by wearing bright red and pink dresses. 

Some made a statement by wearing unique large hats as they flocked to Ascot. 

One woman wore a fit and flare dress which had the union jack printed on the front.
