Mulan live-action remake: Has THIS character has been cut from Disney remake?
The Chinese legend of Hua Mulan was one in a long line of classic tales to be adapted by Disney. Mulan was the Disney’s 36th animated feature and debuted in 1998. Now Disney is remaking the classic into a live-action film, with some changes.
Which Mulan character has been cut by Disney?
According to The DisInsider, Mulan’s sidekick and companion Mushu has been cut.
The website said a source claimed that: “While music from the animated film will be included in the remake, the songs will not be sung by the cast as the music is just instrumentals.
“As time progresses, Disney will very likely use test screenings to gauge what changes – if any – need to be made via reshoots and post-production.”
Whether the significant change in cast and sound will go over well with die-hard Disney fans remains to be seen.
