James Bond 25: Title and TRAILER release date revealed? Here’s the latest rumour

Global James Bond Day, which is on October 5, is suggested as a likely drop-date by journalist and 007 fansite owner Marcos Kontze.

Kontze, writing on Twitter, claimed to have heard from an unnamed “source” that a press conference revealing the official name of Bond 25 will take place once filming has wrapped.

He posted: “This just in: according to a source, the #Bond25 title will be revealed in a Press Conference in Pinewood Studios, in October, after they finish filming in Italy.

“Title and first Trailer during the Global James Bond Day?”

He added: “Just for the record, the first SKYFALL Teaser Trailer was aired 158 days before the movie launch in UK.

“If this will be the same case here, it’ll be 181 days before #Bond25 hits theatres. So, no reason to panic.”

Bond 25’s title was expected to be announced when the cast was unveiled back in April, but it wasn’t – and it was subsequently claimed that the script wasn’t totally complete at that time.

The Bond theme artist is also yet to be announced, with Ed Sheeran and Sting both recently being touted as potential frontrunners.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Daniel Craig’s daughter has made him a fan of serial chart-topper Sheeran; and now he could be in line to get the job.

“Daniel was introduced to Ed’s music by his daughter Ella,” a source told the paper.

“She loves Ed, and Daniel now really likes his stuff too and wants Ed for the theme tune.”

They added: “There was talk of Adele doing it again as her song was such a major hit, but Ed is under serious consideration.

“Daniel is not just the lead actor on the movie but also one of the producers, so he has huge sway over every aspect.

“The sticking point is that Ed translates more to a younger generation, while Adele was more across all ages – so there are other artists they’re also looking at.”

Meanwhile, speculation on Craig’s successor is continuing apace – with Richard Madden at the top of bookies’ lists.

James Bond 25 is out on April 3 in the UK.
