In Angel Has Fallen, fans will see Banning try to protect his new president Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) despite lies circulating around US intelligence agencies.

Angel Has Fallen will hit UK screens on August 21, so fans do not have long to wait for their next instalment of explosive fun.

The film will then hit the USA more than a week later, with a release date set for August 29.

We left Mike Banning with his pregnant wife Leah (who will now be played by Piper Perabo, taking over from Radha Mitchell) after he saved the new president yet again.

But things quickly change when he finds himself arrested for an assassination attempt on the president, despite knowing there is imminent danger ahead.

With his own organisation the Secret Service, as well as the CIA and FBI on his tail – including Jada Pinkett Smith as a feisty FBI agent – he will have to turn to some unlikely sources for help as he tries to clear his name.

Not only does he need to protect himself, but also his wife and unborn child, and the leader of the Free World as he tries to get answers on the real threat to the president.

But can he save the president again, and still save himself?
