No Time To Die spoilers: Will James Bond DIE in new Bond 25? Theories revealed
James Bond is a well-loved British institution, with fans all over the world champing at the bit to see the latest film, No Time To Die. With the recently released title comes a lot of theories about what No Time To Die could mean. Some are even afraid that James Bond will die in the movie.
Will James Bond die in Bond 25 No Time To Die?
At present, no concrete plot points have been revealed except that Bond will be dragged from retirement to complete another mission for MI6.
But while no definite details have been revealed about this, some fans think there is a major giveaway that Bond will die.
MI6 HQ reported a press release from Universal Pictures which began calling the film No Time To Die, before naming it A Day To Die later in the text.
This could well be a typo. But if it’s not, there’s the other possibility that A Day To Die is another title that was almost used.
If this was the original title, it may be that James Bond’s day to die has officially arrived to make way for a new 007.
What other theories are there about No Time To Die?
Reports have suggested Christoph Waltz will be reprising his role as Blofeld but megafans will remember his remarks to Bond in Spectre: “I thought you came here to die.”
This may suggest he wants to get some vengeance – could this mean he is Bond’s reckoning?
There are other theories James Bond genuinely just does not have time to die – meaning the franchise is expected to continue to grow in years to come.
Even if that means finding a new Bond.
The final theory which carries weight is about the new rumoured 007, Lashana Lynch.
The star has been mooted as the new 007 – not a new Bond, but taking on his iconic number as a carrier of the mantle for upcoming movies.
While some fans are unsure of such a new direction for Bond, others celebrate the potential to break new ground with a female, black agent at the centre of MI6.
With that in mind, could the new title be a reference to the changing times, reminding fans that even if a womanising Bond may leave the picture, the icon of 007 will never die in whatever incarnation comes next?
Of course, this is also the eighth Bond film to feature sentiments of death and life, so it could just be another catchy title to get fans excited ahead of the film’s release.
No Time To Die is in cinemas from April 3, 2020.
