No Time To Die spoilers: Will Christoph Waltz return to Bond 25 as Blofeld?

James Bond is back and fans are anticipating some major action when he returns. He’ll be working with MI6 once again to try and track down a scientist who has been kidnapped. But will Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld be behind it?

Will Christoph Waltz return to No Time To Die?

Christoph Waltz is speculated to return to the film – although this has not been completely confirmed.

But there are hints to suggest this will be taking place.

The first is that the working title of the film, before No Time To Die was revealed, was Shatterhand.

This title alludes to a character from You Only Live Twice, Ian Fleming’s 1964 novel.

This character was later revealed to be an alias for super villain Ernst Blofeld, James Bond’s arch nemesis.

With this in mind, it seems likely Blofeld will return.

However, now the official title has been revealed as No Time To Die, and with Phoebe Waller Bridge and director Cary Fukunaga now making edits to the original script, could it be that they have thrown out the decision to bring Blofeld back?

Rami Malek has also been confirmed for the film as an unnamed villain, so it stands to reason that the new script direction could mean there is no Blofeld in this movie.

Until the film comes out in April 2020, it will all just be pure conjecture.

What is No Time To Die about?

All we know at the moment is that one 25 will begin with Bond retired to Jamaica with his new love interest from Spectre, Dr Madeleine Swann.

However, when Felix Leiter turns up and asks for his help with an MI6 mission, Bond is forced out of retirement.

James Bond teams up with his former colleagues to try and track down an abducted scientist, but it turns out a simple kidnapping is much more ominous as more is unveiled.

But whether the mastermind behind it is Blofeld, Rami Malek’s character or a combination of the two is yet to be see.

And who knows?

Perhaps another villain is still to surface as the script has been worked upon.
