Ivanka Trump, 37, has overhauled her image on a recent trip to Colombia, causing shock.

The daughter of the President of the United States Donald Trump, 73, has chopped off her long blonde hair.

The former-model and fashion entrepreneur has, for many years, been a fan of the typical bouncy blow out.

However, she has shaken things up with her look, and it has not gone unnoticed.

Ivanka Trump arrived in Columbia yesterday.

She tweeted: “Just landed in Bogota, Colombia. Thank you Vice President Marta Lucía Ramírez for the warm welcome. Looking forward to a great trip!”

Her hair won a lot of praise from Twitter followers. One wrote: “Your new hair style looks great.”

Another said: “Love your style love your hair stunning so blessed.” (sic)

Another did not see what all the fuss was about, and wrote: “who the hell cares what hair care #IvankaTrump has? #TrumpAdministration.”

One said the hair was “very Presidential”.

There has previously been speculation that Ivanka Trump could run for president in the future.

A source said of Ivanka and her family: “They love it in Washington. The kids love it. They are in it for the long haul.”

Ivanka may be looking for people to take her more seriously with the new do, according to professionals.

One, Devin Toth, a stylist at Salon SCK on New York’s Fifth Avenue, told The Daily Beast: “I think that anytime someone does this chop, it gives off a ‘take me more seriously’ vibe.”

Another, Stephanie Brown at Soho’s IGK Salon, said: “She looks like an anchor from Fox News, and that’s probably the next job she’ll get anyway.”

A sleek bob is often associate with a sleek business look.

Other famous women to rock the look in history include Jacqueline Kennedy, a style icon of another Trump woman, Melania, 49.

Hilary Clinton too wore her hair in a chin length bob when serving as First Lady in 1994.

US Vogue Editor Anna Wintour and former First Lady Michelle Obama have also worn their hair in this style.

The senior advisor to the President was noticeably missing from G7 recently.

Ivanka Trump’s Instagram revealed a clue as to where she was.

The so-called First Daughter took some time out recently to enjoy some quality time with her children – Arabella, eight, Joseph, five, and three-year-old Theodore.

According to Jewish news website Matzav, the oldest child of Jared and Ivanka was dropped off by her mother to attend a three-day session at Camp Morasha, an Orthodox Jewish sleepaway camp in Pennsylvania.

On the website, the camp is said to: “Inspire and develop the minds, bodies, hearts, and souls of its campers, nurturing their commitment to Torah, Modern Orthodoxy, and Zionism; developing their proficiency in sports, swimming and the arts; and nurturing a community defined by kindness, sportsmanship, personal responsibility, good citizenship, and mutual respect.”

Ivanka Trump: Five facts about Donald Trump’s daughter

Real name

Ivanka is not, in fact, her real name. She actually shares her mother’s name Ivana.

Explaining why she is known as Ivanka in a 2010 tweet, she said: “In Czech, Ivanka is the baby name for Ivana, like Bobby is to Robert.”

TV appearances

Ivanka was well known to the American public before her father became President thanks to appearances on TV.

She made short cameos on Project Runway and Gossip Girl, as well as becoming a primary boardroom member on The Apprentice with Donald.

Wedding

Ivanka married Jared Kushner on 25 October 2009 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, after a three month engagement.

Barron Trump served as ring bearer, as Ivanka wore a custom Vera Wang gown accessorised with diamonds from her fine jewellery collection.

Religion

Ivanka was raised as a Presbyterian Christian, but converted to Judaism to allow her to marry Jared Kushner.

Ivanka studied with Elie Weinstock from the Modern Orthodox Ramaz School, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City.

She now keeps kosher and observes the Jewish Sabbath. Ivanka said in the February 2015 edition of Vogue: “We’re pretty observant… It’s been such a great life decision for me… I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity.

“From Friday to Saturday we don’t do anything but hang out with one another. We don’t make phone calls.”

Career

Ivanka ran a fashion line for 11 years, only recently closing it down. She also had a fine jewellery store which closed in March 2017.

Ivanka now focuses on her role as an advisor to the President, Donald Trump.
