Deepika Padukone: xXx star's next move might halt potential sequel – Here's why

Deepika Padukone is currently busy having filmed her latest movie with husband Ranveer Singh in London. The motion picture is called ’83 and features Deepika playing Ranveer’s on-screen wife too. But following her teacher Doctor Ashley William Joseph’s recent comments about her other talents, questions surrounding Deepika’s next career move have arisen, with many questioning if she will producer her own album. Now an exclusive poll conducted by has suggested the actress will do just that.

Nearly 2,000 people asked if Deepika should release an album, so far 100 per cent of fans have voted for: “Yes – her voice is gorgeous I want more.”

The options in the list are: “No – she should stick with being the incredible actress she is.”

And “She should do a collaboration with husband Ranveer Singh.”

So with enormous fan interest will the actress decide to take the plunge with her singing career?

And if so, will the move call time on the possiblility of the next xXx: Return of Xander Cage sequel.

The actress is also an accomplished dancer and often uses her skills to dance in her Bollywood movies.

The poll was stemmed from the actress’ teacher Dr Ashley William Joseph, who recently recalled that Deepika has an incredible singing voice and she had been in her school choir.

Dr Joseph shared her memories of the student on Teachers’ Day in India.

“Deepika or Deepu, as I call here,” she began, “was my student for over seven years in Bangalore.

“She was not only a good sportsperson but brilliant on stage too, be it dancing, singing or acting.

“She was also part of the Sophia Brass Ensemble and Choir which was the best in the country.

“I can still remember her beautiful Soprano Voice singing in the Choir.

“I do hope one day I would get to work on her voice again and she brings out her own album.”

“For those who don’t know,” the teacher continued. “Deepu has a lovely elegant voice and I do wish to see her using that singing voice again.

“As for musical productions, the last one Deepu did with me with Directing was ‘Fiddler on the Roof’.

“One of the most famous Broadway productions that was a big hit in Bangalore,” Dr Joseph added.
