Melania Trump style: First Lady wears £640 dress as she welcomes Australian PM

Melania Trump is forever making bold statements with her fashion choices, and today the First Lady appeared to show her support for Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife Jennifer, as she wore a dress by a designer from their home country. The 49-year-old could be seen wearing a pale blue fitted dress by Australian designer Scanlan Theodore. The knitted crepe dress clung to Melania’s figure and the cocoon sleeves added a nice touch. The dress – which is currently on sale for $800, approximately £640 – fell just below her knees, showing off her toned legs.

Letting the statement dress do the talking, Melania opted for animal accessories.

She kept her make-up light and bronzed, and wore her hair down in a soft wave with her trademark middle parting.

Melania teamed the dress with a pair of animal print pointy toe heels, which complimented the dress nicely.

Melania and her husband US President Donald Trump were greeting the Australian prime Minister and his wife as they arrived at the White House.

The couples could be seen chatting and smiling as they gathered outside and posed for photos.

Jennifer Morrison looked equally stunning in a navy blue asymmetrical dress.

The outing comes a day after Melania reopened the Washington Monument.

The First Lady looked stunning as she attended the opening of the landmark after its three year renovation.

She could be seen wearing a structured white dress by Prada, which fell just below her knees.

The dress had a belt detail, which cinched in at Melania’s waist and accentuated her figure. She teamed the dress with a pair of printed heels, which added a pop of colour to the white ensemble.

Opting for the natural look, Melanie kept her make-up to a minimum, wearing bronzed cheeks and a nude lip.

She was joined by fourth grade students from Amidon-Bowen Elementary school, who she greets with high fives and handshakes.

One kid even told Melania that he was never going to wash his clothes again after meeting her.

Former model Melania is well known for her love of fashion and is always impeccably dressed when she attends public events and political functions with her husband.
