, 38, and , 35, are now into the third day of their . The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a warm impression yesterday when they hugged many of the people they met at a string of Cape Town community projects. Meghan has worn an array of elegant outfits including striking jewellery but has been spotted without her engagement ring.

The Duchess donned one of her signature denim jackets when she and Harry headed to Monwabisi Beach yesterday.

There they met people involved in the ‘Waves for Change’ project which teachers youngsters from deprived communities how to surf.

Meghan and Harry were at ease as they spoke to people at the event and took part in a group meditation session.

While fashion fans loved Meghan’s simple outfit – she paired the denim jacket with a white shirt, black jeans and a cross shoulder tote – they noticed one of her signature accessories was nowhere to be seen.

While Meghan wore her gold-wedding band and a new turquoise ring, she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring.

According to a source, Meghan ditched the diamond ring because she wants to “be low key” while meeting members of the public.

The ring which features two of Princess Diana’s diamonds was redesigned by Meghan earlier this year.

The Duchess was snapped without it again when she took baby Archie to meet Desmond Tutu this morning.

Fans first spotted the change when she wore it to Trooping the Colour earlier this year.

Meghan changed the ring’s original gold band for an elegant diamond-studded one.

Each of Meghan’s tour outfits have been closely scrutinised so far, the first a wrap dress from ethical brand Mayamiko, sold out within the hour.

However, the Duchess breached an unwritten royal fashion rule on her first day in South Africa.

She wore a pair of wedged Espadrilles which the Queen would have turned her nose up at.

The Queen is said to dislike wedged heels and women in the royal family avoid wearing them around her.

On their third day in Cape Town, Meghan and Prince Harry will meet South African civil rights icon Desmond Tutu.

After meeting the Archbishop and his wife at their foundation the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will part ways.

Harry will head off to Botswana and go on to visit Angola and Malawi in the coming days, while Meghan will stay in South Africa with Archie.

The Sussexes will reunite in Johannesburg for the final days of the tour.
