Breaking Bad El Camino fan theory: Is Walter White ALIVE? New trailer shock

Breaking Bad fans will remember how the series ended – with Walter White (Bryan Cranston) surrounded by police as he dies. Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) escaped narrowly from the Aryan Brotherhood after Walt gunned down his captors. But some fans are expecting, as Jesse returns, for Walt to come back guns blazing.

The most recent trailer from Netflix has revealed a lot more than the previous trailers, and despite Walt’s supposed death in the end of Breaking Bad, some fans are convinced Walt is alive based on this trailer.

In this trailer, a dishevelled Jesse is seen knocking at Skinny Pete’s door.

He looks scarred and traumatised, but is clearly trying to get back to himself, despite being on the run and hiding from police.

Jesse is seen having driven out to the desert and digging, which suggests he has gone in search of Walt’s fortune.

As more images are shown of Jesse going in search of something, while police are on his tail, he is seen standing in front of a man with a gun who asks him: “Are you ready?”

This question, for many fans, sounds like it has been asked by Walt himself, meaning he must still be alive despite the horrific wound he was trying to deal with – and his cancer returning.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Is that Walter White’s voice asking him if he is ready at the end?

“My theory has been Walter will be in this as a figment of Jesse’s imagination”

Another said: “My gut is telling me Walter White is still alive.”

Even Bryan Cranston himself did not rule out the idea of Walt being alive, telling TV host Conan O’Brien: “Maybe Walter White did get away with it?

“Was there a coroner’s report? There was no coroner’s report! No! Was there a listing in the obituaries? No!”

Despite this, the second trailer shows Jesse parked in a desert, in his El Camino, and what follows has led many fans to believe Walt must be dead.

The radio is on and a bulletin tells fans what they have already witnessed in the final episode.

But it is through this that Jesse realises exactly who is dead, or so the trailer suggests.

The new reporter says: “Breaking news – a horrific scene with multiple victims.

“It started when neighbours reported hearing hundreds of gun shots fired.

“When Albuquerque Police arrived they discovered the bodies of nine male victims – many shot multiple times.

“Veteran police officers are calling the amount of carnage ‘staggering’ and apparently a remote controlled machine gun was used in the killings.

“Investigators are searching for a person of interest who fled the scene.

“Anyone with information this massacre is asked to call police immediately.”

Some fans believe the revelation of nine bodies having been found make it clear that Walter White is dead.

One fan said on Twitter: “9 male victims… Walter White is officially dead, can you all shut up saying he’s alive now?”

Another theory on who the speaker at the end of the full trailer, is that it is Ed, the disappearer who works in a vacuum shop.

His role is to help people disappear, and he does that for Walt when he gets him a shack in the mountains.

Ed almost helps Jesse, with Saul trying to get Jesse to take Ed’s advice, but Jesse refuses – perhaps until now?
